When Something’s Wrong with Your Tire

When Something’s Wrong with Your Tire

Your tire pressure monitoring system may light up and tell you that the air pressure in your tire is low. You may hear sounds of air leaving your tire or it may be a rough ride on your tires. If something doesn’t feel right, bring your vehicle to our service team to look at it. We’ll let you know if you need a tire repair or replacement.

When you drive on a damaged tire, you can also damage the rims and cause other issues with your vehicle. Even if your tire isn’t flat, it can’t perform correctly without the right amount of air pressure. If the puncture is small, you may need a patch plug. You might have a leaking valve stem, or the valve core may be damaged. Sometimes nothing is wrong with your tires, but the TPMS sensor isn’t working as it should.

Tire Services

Here at Natchez Chevrolet GMC, we offer several services to keep your tires in good shape.

  • Tire repair: This includes patching or a plug to fix a flat or puncture. For this option to work, the tire must have enough tread left. It also depends on where the puncture is located on the tire.
  • Tire replacement: When the puncture can’t be fixed or if the tread has worn down, you need to replace your tires. We offer a wide selection of tires with various lifespans to fit your needs.
  • Tire rotation and balancing: Tires wear differently depending on where they are located on the vehicle. To help them wear evenly, the tires must be rotated to other positions. Tires should usually be rotated about every 5000 miles. Tire balancing is necessary to ensure the weight is distributed evenly around the tires, which leads to a smoother ride. This step should also be done about every 5000 miles unless your manufacturer’s recommendations are different.
  • Wheel alignment: Your wheels need to be aligned to put them back to the original specs. When the wheels are out of alignment, it can lead to uneven wear and damage to your tires.
  • Flat repair: A flat tire or one that is leaking air needs to be dealt with right away. Our service team can repair the tire quickly and get you back on the road.

No matter what your tire needs, you can count on the team at Natchez Chevrolet GMC to take care of it. You can schedule service online, give us a call, or stop by if you have tire issues.

Let Natchez Chevrolet GMC keep you safe on the road with our tire service.
